It's amazing what a good sermon can do for you.
At church today (i go to the school's church services every sunday at 5:45 they are supposed to end by 6:15 but they never do haha, but it's okay cause i enjoy them) we talked about the tenth commandment today. but as we are in college we always have a different spin on how it can relate to us. and today we related it to college students by having it be "what about women?"
so that was interesting. we had this one girls mom come and talk to us about it. and i really enjoyed her sermon.
she summed up all the commandments which we have been reviewing throughout the school year.
Just about everything she said, really hit me. I mean in the beginning i was like what in the world, because she made the guys sit on one side and girls on the other, and it was kind of weird.
but then she started and passed out questions to only the girls and like gave us a sermon with the guys there but like not really part of it.
and like i said as she was talking i was just like oh man. wow.
for example the commandment about not being an adulterer.
she was talking about how so many young Christian couples nowadays live together and think there is nothing wrong with it. and i mean i was like that's so true because i know people who do that. but then i panicked because i don't know if that would apply to me. i mean i'm pretty sure it doesn't because i'm not dating Mike or Clayton and we are def not involved at all... so i mean i'm pretty sure it doesn't apply to me at all. but it just scared me for a moment, because if i had a boyfriend and we had been dating for a long time and he asked me to move in with him. i would say no. because i don't believe in living together before marriage. i just don't.
then she went on to say how God is the King of this world and that if he is the King and our father then we are all Princesses. and well i've heard that before but i guess it just didn't stick before because this time i was like wow. i mean my friends were making fun of her saying that afterwards but i was like guys i really liked this sermon. and they thought i was kidding... but whatever. she also went on to tell us how we are all beautiful and gorgeous in our own ways and that made me smile. it was just really inspiring. then she went and did a sermon for the guys. and she told them they were princes then she told them that they should tell girls that they are beautiful and gorgeous and i was like..oh no haha. i mean i have guy friends who were at that service and well if they were just like "sam you are gorgeous" it would kind of freak me out a little. but she also told them that as Christian guys they should keep in mind that one day they will be fathers and that they will be showing their daughters what it means to live for Christ.
it was just such a good service, it kind of made me want to cry. it was that good. i should have told the lady that i really appreciated it.
afterwards when we were all heading to dinner. John was like i dont' understand why she would say that you can tell everyone they are beautiful, i mean that's not always true. (he wasn't saying that to be mean, it's just you know that story about how that girl called him an ugly slut well he was referring to that) and i was like well John did you ever think that she meant that everyone is beautiful on the inside. and he was like ohh... and i was like yeah. then somehow we ended up on the subject of why people say that their feelings come from their hearts and not their minds. (john is a bio major so he likes to be technical about all that stuff ha) so now we all are like "you have a beautiful spleen" or elbow or kidney. instead of you have a beautiful heart lol.
although after i got food and was heading back to the table john was walking with me and he was like sam you have a beautiful heart i was like aww thanks john. then he was like and a beautiful spleen. i was like ahhaha thanks john.
he's so ridiculous. lol
anyways i just figured i would share about the sermon it made me happy and i wanted to tell you
that.
YOU ARE A BEAUTIFUL GORGEOUS (unless you are a guy in which case super HANDSOME AND GORGEOUS) Person and i love you.
in other news.
i saw Inglourious Basterds yesterday. it was dumb and i hated it. there was too much talking and like not enough explosions. haha. plus all the talking was in french or german and i was like I DON'T WANT TO READ ANYMORE SUBTITLES! gahhh. and then they showed someone getting scalped and it was so gross.
the only good part was when there was this huge fire and an explosion.
at the end.
i really doubt i will ever watch that movie ever again. such a fail.
and only three days of school this week
two days i only have on class
and no work this week since it's "thankgiving" week we aren't allowed to work. super dumb lol
well thats it i need to work on my Greek final draft, my teacher finally sent the rough draft back with comments on friday, he also sent us rules and apparently it is supposed to be no more than 8 pages when before it had to be TEN. i'm not happy but whatever i'll figure it out.

oh Relient K. so funny.
so lets see. what's been going on...
uh i went to yoga by myself on tuesday. i love yoga though. like a lot. i greatly enjoy going. and i always feel like i can fall asleep right there on the mat afterwards. that could potentially be bad though lol.
anyways. tuesday was actually a really bad day for me. but not until like the end of the day. after yoga i went to take a shower and the lighbulb blew out. i was like........ REALLY LIGHTBULB REALLLLLLYY!!11 gahhh!. so then i had to tell mike and clayton awkwardly and then i'm so sad that i didn't even bother changing the lightbulb.. Mike did it for me.
then i felt like a loser. i mean like a damsel in distress.
which i'm really not.
it was sad.
then after that shwayze came and peed in my room.
i was like WTF.
and i just was like FORGET THIS and i went to bed.
wednesday was Ali's birthday :)
i'm so stoked to give her, her present next saturday :)
i had to schedule classes that day.
it was the worst experience ever.
it's just really not set up that great.
but as of now my schedule is

then i'm taking guitar
it's only 1 credit for creative expression which i need four for. but i might take ceramics the semester after next.
then that'll work out. it's just so stressful. stupid scheduling.
uh thursday.. only three people showed up for my greek class. i know that's really sad. i mean we only have 9 people in class if everyone shows up which this one kid hasn't been there in over a month... maybe he dropped the class? ahha i have no idea. it's just ridiculous. but whateverrrrr
yesterday i went to math. then i went and worked out in the gym again. there were a lot of people there which kind of wasn't cool. i mean i would rather work out with like NO ONE there haha. but i did the ab machine again. I LOVE that machine. i want one hahah. but i did it were you can do it specifically on the sides. and well my sides are a little sore today. but that makes me happy. it shows it's workign! ahha i need to go work out more. i enjoy it. then i quickly showered. and went to get a new phone and to the mall with Kate. we got her new phone and right next to it was a sonic! and i have never been there before so we ate there. It was Kate, Me, and three girls from Kate's classes, well music therapy at least. they were nice.
it seems i go to the mall like every weekend now. haha. it's really not good. since i'm trying to save up to go next weekend with ali :)
but i bought these adorable flats for ten dollars from h&m for me and this tinkerbell lantern making set for the little i babysit for christmas! so i mean i started to christmas shop! woo! and i have ideas for everyone else. so you know. i'm not doing that bad! haha
and today i'm just chilling going to do some homework

Can You Paint with all the Colors of The Wind?
Well hello,
so friday i had a math test. and well this one equation WOULD NOT work for me, not matter how many times i tried to figure out why it wasn't working. it made me sad. and i know that it gave me the wrong answer. which is even worse. basically ruined my afternoon.
so i came back to the apartment and watched Made Of Honor, which made me feel alot better lol
then went to dinner, and afterwards headed over to the Mad Cow Improv Comedy show. it was called The Danger show, since it was Friday the 13th. and it was hilarious. like always. they are so good at improv. i would be horrible at it. they played this game called Clamps.
the way it was played was that the person in charge of the game would give them a word and the four people that were playing had to come up with a pun using that word, you know how in those action movies after someone gets killed the person always uses a ridiculous pun. well that's what they had to do.
but if the people in the crowd thought that your pun wasn't that good, well we were supposed to yell clamp. then the person got clamped. they used clothes pins and the first went on the ear, second on the eyebrow, third on the septum, on your nose, and then next was ten seconds of all out clamping wherever the clothespins could go.
and poor Mike he got all the way to four. only because everyone in the crowd would always just be like CLAMP. even if his was pretty good.
i felt pretty bad for him. i mean clothespins can hurt!
then the last game they played was BUCKET OF DEATH.
they were doing a scene and there were three people in the scene. but one person had to have their head underwater at all times. so the other two people always had to find a way to get the third person out of the bucket into the scene and one of them had to go and submerge their head into the water then.
it was pretty insane. the one time they forgot about the person in the water. i thought someone was going to pass out or something.
it was pretty intense.
afterwards headed back to the apartment.
kind of was expecting a party. because well they seem to always have a party after mad cow.
but guess what.
there wasn't one. and i was shocked! completely shocked.
ended up hanging out with Clayton and Mike. we watched The Shawshank Redemption
haha. and that was my friday night.
so awesome.
yesterday i kind of just hung out in my room all day doing nothing. met clayton's parents. then jenna called and asked if i wanted to go with her to pick up stuff she bought at bonton and to go see a movie with her grandma lol
we ended up just going to the mall and going out to dinner with her grandma, her mom and kate.
it was pretty fun. except jenna hates shopping
i feel bad for her, shes just having a rough time now. and kind of has low self esteem it makes me sad.

but i found these EPIC flats at forever 21. and i bought them.
and this means i can't BUY ANYTHING ELSE until i go shopping with Ali in two weeks :)
but i mean they were only 9.80 which is pretty cheap for a pair of shoes. :)
ahah. so Jenna's grandma took us out to dinner i forget the name of the place but they had this amazing cornbread with maple butter.
SO GOOD.
and my meal was kind of HUGE.
i mean i got chicken tenders and it came with two sides so i got garlic mashed potatoes and cinnamon apples.
first of all they gave me like TEN chicken tenders that were like huge. i was like ahhhhhh. and the size of the mashed potatoes was huge.
i was pretty much dying haha. so i took some home with me and had the rest for lunch today :)
the mashed potatoes were super good, even cold. but the chicken tenders werent as good as yesterday, probably because i didn't have honey mustard lol.
it was still good though.
and i already finished my homework today.
i'm feeling pretty accomplished and i'm actually going to go to the gym later. i know i'm just going to crush this day. haha.
so yeah. the only sad thing is i'm still in my pajamas and it's 2:30 in the afternoon. haha and i'm supposed to go to the gym in like an hour. so i should really go put my contacts in soon and change... but i don't want toooooooooooooooooooo.
but i'm going to do it.
I'M GOING TO GO TO THE GYM!
which btw today is supposed to be 70 degrees again.
now i loveeee the warm weather. but it's kind of november...and this ridiculousness is going to seriously mess me up...
so yeah.
okay should probably go get dressed now...

WO-OH it's magic, when i'm with you. oh oh it's magic. you know it's true.

MIKES DOG CAME TO LIVE WITH US! SHE IS THE CUTEST DOG! HER NAME IS SHWAYZE! seriously though she is so cute! everytime i go into the kitchen or to the bathroom she always follows me back to my room. it's super cute.
she also whines everytime mike leaves. also super adorbs :)
anyways last friday went to see The Ugly Truth at school for free. can i just say i LOVE Gerard Butler. so him being in that movie made it so much better haha. so i really enjoyed that movie. then my friends and i headed to the mall. i found jeans for $9.50 yes nine dollars and fifty cents. greatest deal ever. love Forever 21 :)
that's the only thing i bought because basically i'm broke. although i get paid this friday but i'm thinking i shouldn't spend it, because over thanksgiving break I'M SEEING ALI AND WE ARE GOING TO SEE NEW MOON AND GO SHOPPING AND HANG OUT so i can GIVE HER HER BIRTHDAY PRESENT!!!!!!! which i feel is the best present i have ever gotten her and there will be no way i will ever top it ever. unless i become rich very suddenly lols.
ooo at the mall friday they played a christmas song in yankee candle. it made me happy. of course kate was all WHAT IS THIS. and iw as like IT'S A CHRISTMAS SONG. and she was like yeah well the person singing sounds like an old sick woman.
i was like :| whatevs. i love christmas i'm so excited to start listening to christmas music :D
and i studied a ridiculous amount yesterday. had a philosophy test today. made my want to cry.
greek test tomorrow. hope it's not too bad.
math test friday.
sigh.
AND i went to meet with my advisor today, we discussed my classes for next semester and i'm kind of excited and i kind of sort of have it figured out. except i'm goign to have to have a class on friday again :(
fail. but it'll be done earlier. it's all because i'm taking greek 2
i'm not happy its' on friday but i dont' really have any other choice.
sigh dude.

so this week has been crazy.
on wednesday i went to this Iroquis Peace Tree planting thing, where this guy who used to be the Chief of a Iroquis community came and talked to us about peace trees. then we went and planted one and he was like this will be your family away from home. i was kind of thinking to myself aww thats nice then i was like wait why would i come hang out with a tree? i mean i have friends...
oh well, so then they planted the tree and everyone grabbed a handful of dirt and threw it at the tree to get rid of any built up anger, resentment or jealousy.
it was interesting.
i went to get bonus points for my Jesus and Moral Life class, of course i missed lunch that day and a bunch of stuff went down which always happens everytime i miss lunch. it's kind of ridiculous!
but that kind of made the rest of this week so far not so great.
yetserday i went to see the play at school called Memorandum.
it was good, i mean everyone did a great job, but at the same time i was SO BORED. i mean i followed everything that was happening it just felt really long and i just wanted it to end. it didn't help that during intermission i wanted to leave because of kate...in fact i kind of yelled at her again. i have never yelled at one of my friends as much as i yell at kate. she just gets under my skin and i can't handle it. which really isn't good.
in fact i don't even want to go to the mall tonight with my friends because of kate.
i need a break from her
lol
i can't wait til thanksgiving break.
i get to see Ali !!!!!!!!!
and give her her birthday present!
and no school!
and i'm going shopping and seeing new moon with ali.
and i'll just be away from this drama!
baaaaaaahhhhhhhh
oh on the brightside someone changed the shower curtain in the bathroom!
it makes me really happy
and last night clayton cleaned the apartment. it looks really nice now.
i think he even mopped!
he's taking a step up.
i'm so proud.
haha. okay well i need to get ready for math class.
like i need to get out of bed and get dressed haha.

update?
uh quick update.
went home friday
finished my philosophy paper at like midnight on friday/saturday.
did not go trick or treating :(
saw my brother get confirmed sunday.
came back to school.
went to church at school.
started my greek paper.
yesterday finished my greek paper.
greek class...philosophy.math.
the usual..except i almost fell asleep in math class.IN THE FRONT ROW...
hahaha
today
greek class. quiz made me want to cry.
Jesus and Moral Life GOT AN A- ON MY MIDTERM!! LIFE IS GOOD!
work.
extra greek help.
i was the only one who showed up.
he then told me i didn't really seem to need extra help.
i'm glad i still go even though he's like your only problem seems to be self-esteem .
i was like um what.
and he was like is that a problem in your real life?
apparently greek isn't real life.
haha.
but anyways i was like no it's not a problem.
self esteem that is.
so who knows what that is about.
GLEE SOUNDTRACK FOR SEASON 1 came out today :)
i LOVE IT.
went to yoga. it wasn't too bad. next week we are supposed to bring pillows and a blanket :D
sounds like an awesome class. ahha
and now i need to go to bed.
