the cherry poppin' daddies
haha so i hope you watch that and notice how the lead singer dances. he made me laugh so much, the entire time i watched them i couldnt' help but tap my foot and smile :)
also the keyboardist. he kept making these outrageous faces that i completely enjoyed haha :)
so my roommates contacted me for the first time today in about a month. okay three weeks haha.
Mike texted me earlier telling me he got a brita water filter for the apartment lol
and that he got a George Foreman grill for Christmas.
he just makes me laugh.
then later he facebook messaged me and clayton about the comcast bill.
made me want to cry a bit. i mean it wasn't like i have to pay the entire thing since we split it, but still i'm trying to make sure i have enough for rent...well rent in like april.
you know i plan ahead.

my cousin texted me today.
he's 16, and he loves Selena Gomez.
the first time we talked about it, i thought i could never love him more, and then he told me disney wasn't too bad.
I was like.
new.favorite.cousin.
yup.
haha. he wanted me to go with him to see Selena on Valentines day.
i so wish i could go, but sadly i have school the next day. class at 8 am, and the venue is an hour from my house. which would be like two and a half hours from school.
at least i'm pretty sure it would be like that.
so yeah. the concert would be at 6, and i figured 8 ish it would end because i have no idea how long she would perform and such.
so i would have to drop my cousin off at home that would be like 9, then by the time i got to my apartment it would almost be 11.
and this is all if there isn't that much traffic, or snow, or whatever happening.
so yeah. i want to say i can TOTALLY take that chance. but school is really important to me, and well Selena Gomez...not so much..haha.
i mean i like her and i wouldn't mind seeing how she performed live, but i would be much happier to do well in school. :)
so instead i'll teach my cousin everything i know about concerts,
and all about the information i have received (thanks holly btw :) )
and hope for the best that he meets her, and they fall in love, and somehow Selena decides that i'm cool enough to meet some of her cool hollywood friends ;)
hahah.
and then i will be eternally grateful to my cousin, but in reality he will be eternally grateful to me for teaching him everything i know.
SO in ACTUAL REALITY it all works out!! ahha
see that. that would be awesome.
but anyways i'm going over to my cousin's house Saturday to help him buy tickets. his friend is going to go with him apparently. i'm very interested in finding out who this friend is. and i'm sure they'll have a great time. i will just make my cousin call me the next day and tell me EVERYTHINGGGGGG.
he also should take pictures. although most of his friends would pry make fun of him if he posted them on facebook so i'll just make him show me them next time i see him after that.
haha.

woah what? it's 2010?
haha gasp! where does the time go. i can't even believe it.
okay. yes i can but seriously.
so where to start...where to start...
wellllll
yesterday around 3 pm. left my house with my dad and headed to Hershey.
we got some gas, and some batteries and then we were on our way :)
of course it was kind of icky out. i mean it looked like it was going to rain. which really wasn't exciting.
at all.
so we got there around five.
actually earlier yesterday i found out that they were having a meet and greet "across the street" from where they were performing.
and originally i thought they were performing in Hershey Park, because that's what made sense to me. but when we got to Hershey one road was blocked off and it turns out that they actually do New Years Eve in the middle of the road on Chocolate Avenue. which was actually really cool!.
but anyways. so their meet and greet was in Hershey Theater, this old grand looking building. so my dad and i got in line. (my dad was more excited than i was...haha just kidding, but wouldn't that be hilarious)
so we were waiting in line. OUTSIDE. and it was really cold. and the line wasn't going that fast. and we were near the end. but it didn't matter because at least i was there :)
then i found out you had to buy something to meet them, i kind of really hate that they make you do that, it's basically an obvious way to make more money. and even though i feel like honor society wouldn't have it that way if they didnt' have to, it's just really annoying. since i'm pretty broke already. you know? and when i got there they only had shirts left, so it's not even like i could be cheap and only buy a poster. but those things happen i guess.
anyways had my shirt in hand. watched Ned chat amicably with some people. made me laugh. oh Ned.
Finally caught glimpse of Michael. i'm not really sure why i saw him first out of all of them, especially since i was still near the doors but i did. i was like woo! and i tried to not act like i was SUPER excited!
so to bide my time i people watched. and let me tell you some fans are just...insane.
a lot of girls were there in tights and skirts, and i was like wow are you dumb. i mean i know you are trying to impress them and all but it's freezing outside, and they probably will just think you are dumb, even if they think you dressed nicely.
i mean i wore a lot of layers ahha.
but you know what i was def warmer than those girls were, and that's all that matters to me :)
so finally got up there to meet them at like 5:45 and well i'm always not that great around celebrities. i mean i've met them a few times now but i'm still like what do i say that will make me seem like just a normal fan, not an insane one.
so i just said hi.
hahaha.
first was Jason, he said hey and something about the new year and staying warm. and signed my shirt.
then was Alex he was signing the girls shirt in front of me and the end of his sharpie flew off and hit Michael and it was kind of hilarious. :)
so when i got to Alex he was like oh man so sorry about that, because he bent over to try and find the cap and i stood there awkwardly for a bit haha. and i was just like haha it's fine. and he signed my shirt and said somethign about new years haha obviously i dont' recall anything that they actually really said when i met them...
Then was Michael i'm pretty sure he said Hey whats' up? and i responded not much you .
haha.
then he said something about new years eve. and signed my shirt
then was Andrew and i am absolutely certain that he told me to stay warm lol.
and he signed my shirt.
afterwards i realized i should have been like HAND HUGS!
but you know it doesn't matter :)
so now i have a shirt signed by them. which is pretty cool. we also weren't really allowed to take pictures "behind the line" like once you got up to the table. which i find creepy anyways. it's like oh HEY LET ME TAKE YOUR PICTURES RIGHT HERE AWKWARDLY FROM THE OTHER SIDE OF THE TABLE WHEN IT'S JUST YOU.
so that was cool.
then my dad and i headed to my apartment to get dinner and set up stuff for the night, it was actually really nice having my apartment like twenty minutes away because of beign able to stay there overnight for free.
and it was pretty sweet because the heat was still on!
but it was kind of weird because when we got there it looked like someone has been staying there. like they just left for new years eve or something. which was really weird. because there were like 10 glasses in the sink (seriously. i was like come on who did that, how hard is it to wash a freaking glass...sigh) and someone left the light on in the living room. so the electric bill will lovingly be super high. boys *shakes head*
oh also by this time it had started to rain.
yeah.
so we went and got subway, ate, then changed into some warmer clothing.
and headed back to Chocolate Ave.
got there aroudn 7:30 i would say, parked, put feet warmers inside my shoes, they worked really well for awhile.
Headed to where the stage was, mostly just by following people since i had no idea where it was actually taking place..
but it was easily found :)
got a decent spot, again my dad couldn't hold in his excitement ;)
so it got pretty wet, pretty fast, and pretty cold, broke out the one handwarmer while the backstage helper people (Brett and Pete?) set up the stage, and i was trying to open up the other one when Honor Society came out, and i was like woah they are like an hour early.
turns out it was only soundcheck ! haha
BUT. i finally attended a soundcheck party and it was awesome :D
they played Over you and Two Rebels.
it was really fun.
My dad didnt really know what to do, but i'm pretty sure he liked their music. not like he will now go become obsessed with them, but he said when we were heading to the apartment, afterward, that he thought that they were kind of like Fall Out Boy, he also said that it was interesting how they would like start a song rocking out and then you listen to the lyrics and they aren't like rocking out kind of lyrics.
haha. which is so true. but i told him it makes it even better :D
so soundcheck ended. chilled some more. it got colder.
waited and waited and waited. more people showed up, was trying to find Hannah and Kenny (the guy who drove the bus for Jonas!!!) but i couldn't find them so that was kind of a bummer but it happens.
then finally Honor Society came back out.
they started off with Full Moon Crazy,
and well ALEX wasn't wearing a jacket, seriously. he had on a short sleeved shirt and i was like oh my gosh Alex it's freaking like 30 degrees out and raining and you have no coat on.
he's insane.
but he totally rocked the drums last night :) it was awesome. Even my dad was impressed. he was like wow watch the drummer! i was like haha i know :) Alex rocks. of course it's always hard to see Alex because we were standing in the middle and Michael always stands right in front of Alex when he sings but you could still see Alex whipping his arms all around and the drum sticks haha :)
then they sang Sing For You, and Here Comes Trouble.
right before Here Comes Trouble Michael was talking about how much he loves the fans, and how in each state they meet all these girls, and then he was like "but i just have to say all Honor Society Fans are the sexiest girls ever." and then i looked at my dad and he looked like he didn't know whether to be amused or annoyed lol. but i enjoyed it.
and then Michael said that we were all also very beautiful and then he goes but we absolutely know that you are all TROUBLE!

then they all did a lovely speech :) i recorded it and i'll have it on youtube eventually, and they sang Don't Close the Book and it was wonderful :)
THEN Jason sang Use Somebody!!! i recorded that as well :) he's so good at it.
then they did Nobody Has To Know, and we all rocked out to the "party like it's midnight new years eve" haha it was fun,
then the last two songs were Over You and See U In The Dark.
and a lot of people did the Honor Roll and my dad just looked confused by it, and then he laughed at me, but hey it got me warm when i did it :)
then they were done, it was around 10:30. but it was a lot of fun :)
and i would go stand in the rain again :)
so we walked around for a bit got hot chocolate, i burnt my tongue, seriously it hurts today and i can't really taste anything...haha
went over and watched the Cherry Poppin' Daddies.
seriously loved those guys! haha they were SO FUNNY! the lead singer was dancing all around he was so awesome, and the keyboardist kept making really funny facial expressions. i want them to play at my wedding.
haha.
now i just need the man ;)
i recorded their one song, because i just needed people to see how intensely awesome they were :)
they were done at like 11:50
waited for a bit, they brought children on stage to countdown, then Honor Society came back and the Cherry Poppin' Daddies, and they all counted down while the Hershey kiss was raised. haha :)
then fireworks!
it was really awesome.
seriously the fireworks were better than the fireworks i saw on the fourth of July.
if it wasn't cloudy they could have been the best of all time...

after fireworks headed to the car straight to the apartment, and i have never been so happy to have a space heater and the regular heaters in my room there before it was amazingly warm and felt so good.
until i tried to sleep and woke up a lot because i was sweating haha but oh well it was nice that it was warm :)
and that is how i spent my new years eve!

still shocked it's 2010
the craziness. hope this year is an excellent one. it's already starting out pretty good :)
saw some friends today, and LIVI, the adorable cutie pie :D
and tomorrow my mom and i are hanging out with my moms' one friend and her daughter whom i am really good friends with. so that will be good :) i'm excited. we are supposed to go see The Blind Side. which i have to be up in time for.
so i should go to sleep now haha
